R&B Hair Treatment, Mint Juleps Sugar Lip Scrub
It's been a long time since I've even stepped into a Lush store. Probably 7 years when I was still living in LA. I checked it out a couple times when they first opened and it seemed cool but was just too overwhelming with all the scents and it seemed like to had to learn all new ways to use these things (like shampoo bars and non-soap soaps) plus I never do bubble baths so that pretty much cancels out half their stuff. Anyways, I don't remember who's blog I was reading but they really seemed to like it and I also saw that MakeupByMel also did a whole bunch of reviews (non-sponsored) so I thought I would give it another shot. What sold me was the R&B hair treatment. I recently got a Japanese digital perm on my boob length hair and it has totally wrecked it. With my thick, straight asian hair I never used to get split ends and now it feels like I have hundreds which is soooo annoying! I do like the permed effect though so I'm always searching for products I help improve my situation. Morrocan Oil and the Loreal Sulfate Free Overnight treatment is pretty good but I think the R&B beats them. I also like that most of the ingredients are natural. A friend of mine recently got pregnant and she told me all the things that you're not supposed to use and it started to make me think that I should be more conscious about what I'm putting on and in my body. Well back to Lush . . . the R&B is very moisturizing without feeling heavy and greasy. As I was paying for it the lip scrubs caught my eye. That's also very good, a little messy so do it over the sink, but it works. The body butters and massage bars I just got today so I haven't tested it out yet. I did try the butters on my arm at the store and omg the King of Skin is soooo moisturizing. My arm is still nicely moisturized over 10 hours later including a 2 hour workout! I always always always put on lotion after my shower so it might be nice to see if putting it on in the shower works better. You probably capture more water in your skin instead of drying off and then slathering lotion over???? We shall see. Oh and the massage bar can also double as a lotion also minus the massage =( if needed. I can't wait to try more products so if anyone has any recommendations let me know.
